Artist's Description

I honestly don't know a lot about flowers. It took me a good amount of time on Google to even find the name of this one! But you don't need to know anything about flowers to appreciate their beauty. It's easy to produce a lovely image of something that is already so beautiful but what I really enjoy is the challenge of trying to capture a UNIQUE image of a flower that has been shot a million different times in a million different ways. To me, the beauty of this particular Dahlia is in its petals with the deep shades of pink fading into its white tips. The natural gradient on the flower is what inspired me to snap this photo and share it with all of you.

About Shannon Williams

Shannon Williams

Hey there! Welcome to my Gallery. I'm originally from Portland, Oregon, and am currently traveling North America capturing landscapes and cityscapes across the country. I picked up a camera before moving to Alaska where I honed my photography skills using the stunning mountains and rivers of the vast, wild tundra as my classroom.
