This photo was taken along the infamous Alaska Highway during arguably the most gorgeous time of the year, Autumn. The golden fall colors speckled the hills and mountains that surrounded us. The ALCAN follows the Tanana River for a short period and is worth choosing a rest stop nearby to take in the beauty of this rugged landscape. The Alaska Highway is not for the faint of heart though. You will have adventures and you will have stories for years to come if you're brave enough to venture from the "lower 48" up to the 49th state, Alaska.
